M. Ramtane Lamamra, Ministre of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, was received, on 28 July 2021, by the President of the Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde, to whom he conveyed the fraternal greetings of the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune On this occasion several issues were discussed such as the strategic relations between Algeria and Ethiopia, the peace and security in Africa and the prospects for strengthening the Arab-African partnership.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, had a phone conversation with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Libya, Jan Kubis, on the latest developments in the political process to end the crisis in Libya. On this occasion, Mr. Lamamra reiterated Algeria’s support to the United Nations’ efforts as well as its readiness to accompany the national reconciliation process in Libya in coordination with the African Union.   

The President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on 19th July, China’s State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, who was leading a large delegation. This visit was an opportunity to discuss ways to deepen the political consultations between the two countries and to assess the implementation of the Global Strategic Partnership Agreement binding the two countries in order to boost their bilateral cooperation, particularly the economic partnership in the fields of infrastructure and investment.

On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra extended his best wishes to the Algerian community abroad and invited each and everyone to continue working and to remain united in the service of Algeria.   

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent his condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel following the floods that hit western Germany and caused the loss of human lives.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra held on Wednesday 14th July, in Algiers, discussions with the Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs Salem Ould Salek on the bilateral relations and the latest developments.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on 15th July, a phone call from the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region and the next Arab Summit to be held in Algeria.
