Non-hydrocarbon exports reach 2.03 billion in the first half of 2021

The Algerian non-hydrocarbon exports increased during the first six months of the current year 2021 by 95.55% to reach 2.03 billion dollars, compared to 1.04 billion dollars during the same period of 2020, announced the Ministry of Commerce. Hence, the rate of non-hydrocarbon exports has risen to 12.38% of the total value of exports, according to the same source

The Ministry’s report shows that exports of mineral and chemical fertilisers reached 618 million dollars, an increase of 52.4%. Iron and steel exports reached $370 million, compared to $21.59 million in the same period last year, an increase of 1614%. Exports of inorganic chemicals reached $343 million, compared to $114.23 million in the same period last year, an increase of 200%.

Exports of food products were worth $287 million, an increase of 37%. Exports of sugar exports reached $206 million, an increase of 55.5%. The volume of manufactured goods exported increased to 141 million dollars, representing a rate of 7%, according to details provided in the press release of the Ministry of Trade.
