The Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared in a statement on 9th May that Algeria condemns in the strongest terms the racist and extremist attacks in the occupied city of El-Quds against Palestinian civilians and their deprivation of religious freedom in El-Aqsa mosque. The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on Tuesday, 4th May, a phone call from the Prime Minister of Italy, Mario Draghi, with whom he reviewed the relations between Algeria and Italy on all levels and the prospects to promote and expand them to various fields. The conversation also focused on regional and international issues of common interest, mainly the situation in Libya, the Sahel and Western Sahara, reflecting the traditional convergence of views between the two countries.

In a message read on his behalf by the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, on the occasion of the International Labour Day (1st May), the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune congratulated the Algerian workers and commanded their efforts and awareness to overcome the difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on socio-economic life.
