Algeria’s trade balance deficit recorded a considerable drop of 87.89% during the first eight (08) months of the year 2021, falling to 926 million USD at the end of August 2021 against 7.6 billion USD at the end of August 2020. Non-hydrocarbon exports worth near 3 billion dollars during the first eight months of 2021

Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon exports have reached 2.9 billion dollars during the first eight months of 2021. An increase of 118% compared to last year. Non-hydrocarbon exports of Algeria represent 12.3% of total exports. The most exported non-hydrocarbon products are: mineral fertilizers and nitrogenous chemicals ($886 million), iron and steel ($595.78 million), inorganic chemicals ($501.8 million) and food products based on sugar and honey ($288 million). The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on 14th September, in Algiers, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, who delivered a message to him from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
