The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune held talks in Algiersm, on Monday 11th April, with the President of Italy’s Council of Ministers, Mario Draghi. Previously, President Tebboune gave Draghi an official welcome at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic. Following the meeting, Mr. Mario Draghi said that his country was working to further strengthen its cooperation with Algeria, Italy’s largest trading partner in Africa. APS.

Ambassador Lounès Magramane met, via video link on 6th April, Lord Ahmed of Wimbledon, Minister of State for South and Central Asia, North Africa, United Nations and the Commonwealth in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). On this occasion, they had fruitful discussions on regional and international issues and looked forward to further strengthening and diversifying the bilateral cooperation between Algeria and the United Kingdom.

The Embassy of Algeria hosted today, 28th March 2022, a meeting of the African Union Heads of Mission Group in London during which H.E. Mr. Mene Wamkele, Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, gave an insightful briefing on the state of play of the AfCFTA negotiations and the steps forwards to the start of commercially meaningful trade.
