The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent his condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel following the floods that hit western Germany and caused the loss of human lives.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra held on Wednesday 14th July, in Algiers, discussions with the Sahrawi Minister of Foreign Affairs Salem Ould Salek on the bilateral relations and the latest developments.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on 15th July, a phone call from the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region and the next Arab Summit to be held in Algeria.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra received phone calls from his counterparts of Jordan, Palestine and the United Arab Emirates to discuss ways of promoting the bilateral cooperation and enhancing consultations on the situation in the Arab world.

The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Abderrahmane Lotfi Djamel Benbahmed, announced on Tuesday 13th July that the Algerian pharmaceutical group Saidal will produce, starting from next September, 2.5 million doses of Sputnik V and Sinovacanti Covid vaccines per month.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Tuesday 13th July the President of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, who is on a working visit in Algeria.The discussions between the two leaders focused on the means to strengthen the bilateral relations in the interest of the two friendly peoples. On this occasion, President Tebboune announced the opening of the land border between Algeria and Niger to facilitate trade between the two countries.

On this occasion, they discussed ways of working closely together to build a complementary relationship in order to respond to the concerns and aspirations of the national community abroad.

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune held, on Monday, 12 th July, phone talks with the President of Tunisia, Kaïs Saïed, on the health situation in Tunisia. On this occasion, Mr. Tebboune reiterated Algeria’s solidarity with the brotherly Tunisian people in their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
