Forest fires: Setting up of a special fund to compensate victims

Prime Minister, Minister of Finance,  Aïmene Benabderrahmane affirmed, Thursday, in Tizi Ouzou, that the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered the setting up of a special fund to compensate the victims of the forest fires that broke out in the country since Monday.

In a statement, after listening to a presentation at the headquarters of the main unit of the Civil Protection in Bouhinoun, as part of his visit to Tizi Ouzou, the Prime Minister said that “the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune has taken several important decisions following the fires that broke out in the country, including the creation of a special fund for the victims which will deal, as soon as possible, with their concerns.”

The compensations concern all stricken regions, stressed the Prime Minister, underlining that “all the national resources have been mobilized for a return to normal life.”

After pointing out that “all the sectors are still deploying efforts, despite the criminal acts,” Benabderrahmane emphasized that “Algeria has scientific and technological means to show that it is a criminal act, because, he added, all fires started at the same time”.
