The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, paid tribute, on the 8^th of March, to Algerian women, especially the Moudjahidate (female national liberation war veterans), in a ceremony marking the International Women’s Day.
 
Highlighting the role of Algerian women, in terms of political empowerment and participation in economic recovery, Mr. President noted the enshrinement of the principle of equity for women to access senior positions and protection against all forms of discrimination.
