Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra was received, on 27 July 2021, by the Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed.
“I had the honor to be received by the President of the Republic of Tunisia to whom I transmitted a message of friendship and fraternity from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a message reflecting the privileged relations existing between the two brotherly countries “, declared Mr. Lamamra after the audience granted to him by the Tunisian President.
He said that “the meeting was an opportunity to exchange information and analysis on a number of regional issues of common interest,” adding that “we also examined international questions and several current challenges and agreed to work with determination to put an end, together, to this pandemic, as our two countries triumphed, yesterday, over colonization by the combination of their efforts and unlimited solidarity “, recalling that” Tunisia has always been the ally of Algeria which wishes exemplary relations with it “.
“We are resolutely committed, today, to the process of building the expected Maghreb Union in order to enable Tunisia and Algeria to be the core of this serious, complementary and ambitious undertaking”, concluded Mr. Lamamra
