Training Programme Implementation – result of PDS-SME-Phase1

Algeria has received funding from the African Development Bank Group – Technical Assistance Fund for Intermediate Income Countries to cover the cost of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Support Project (SME-DSP), and intends to use part of the sumsreceived under this grant to finance the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development Support Contract (SME-DSC).

The executing agency of the SME-DSC is the Ministry of Industry and its focal point is the Directorate General of Small and Medium Enterprises (Direction Générale de la Petite et Moyenne Entreprise). 

It is important to note that a first phase of the SME-DSC has been implemented. A training program in the interest of the beneficiaries was one of the product services of this phase.

The sum remaining from the project’s grant was allocated to the realization of a second phase, of which one product service would be “Training Program Implementation –  SME-DSC Phase1).

The services provided under this contract are:

a) Organizing beneficiaries in training groups;

b) Planning the conduct of training;

c) Carrying out training including, namely: the topics to be covered, the methodologies, and teaching materials, the planning of conferences, visits, workshops …, the evaluation of the training programme.

The Ministry of Industry – General Directorate of Small and Medium Enterprise, invites firms to submit their candidacy in order to provide the services described above. The firms concerned must produce information on their capacity and experience demonstrating that they are qualified for the services (documentation, references on similar services, experience in comparable assignments, availability of qualified personnel, etc.). Consultants are welcomed to submit a joined tender to increase their chances of qualification.

The eligibility criteria, the establishment of the shortlist and the selection procedure will be in accordance with the “Rules and Procedures for the Use of Consultants” framework of the African Development Bank (2008 edition, revised 2012), which are available at the Bank’s website at the address: http://afdb.org.
