Algeria participates at the Exhibition “Expo 2020 Dubai” which opened on 1st October, in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), through its pavilion, with a Casbah inspired architecture, bearing the theme Rihla (Voyage of Life) to highlight Algeria’s civilization and its future aspirations. Algeria expressed Saturday 2nd October its categorical rejection of the unacceptable interference in its internal affairs, following the unrefuted statements that several French sources attributed, by name, to the French President. Therefore, Algeria has recalled its Ambassador to France for consultationa.

EU Court of Justice annuls EU-Morocco trade deals over Western Sahara

The European Union Court of Justice declared on Wednesday that the EU-Morocco trade deals covering farm products and fish were invalid because they were agreed to without the consent of the people of Western Sahara. Furthermore, the EU Court ruled that the Polisario Front was recognised internationally as a representative of the people of Western Sahara. Passing of former Head of State and former President of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah

Former Head of State and Former President of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah passed on Wednesday, the Presidency of the Republic said. Following his death, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered flags to be flown at half-mast for three days staring from today, 22 September. The late Bensalah will be buried tomorrow Thursday at the cemetery of El-Alia (Algiers).

Algeria’s trade balance deficit recorded a considerable drop of 87.89% during the first eight (08) months of the year 2021, falling to 926 million USD at the end of August 2021 against 7.6 billion USD at the end of August 2020.
